How to Conduct a Collection Audit

Tuesday, March 28, 2017 12:00-1:00pm

Presented by Mark S. Schwartz and Elaine Kamp

Law libraries, regardless of type, are under constant pressure to evaluate their collections. This webinar will focus first on the various reasons why a law library might need to formally audit its collection, whether it’s because of a move or a transition to a digital collection. Then the speakers will address how libraries can develop an action plan for its collection audit.

Mark Schwartz, Director of Content Management at Law Library Management, brings more than twenty years of experience in legal services. During that time, he has served in a number of roles. He has been a Reference Librarian, Manager of Reference Services, Electronic Services Librarian and Associate Library Director at law firms such as White & Case and Cahill Gordon.

Elaine Kamp is a Business Analyst in the New York office of Baker Hostetler.  She is part of the team that helps to execute legal innovation projects throughout the 14 offices of the firm.  Currently, she is also the interim manager for the Legal Research Services group.  She has more than 15 years of experience within libraries of large law firms in NY.
